#2022picoftheweek – A New Year

In the foreground, several oval-shaped green tree leaves are visible, with the ones toward the top-right corner being slightly out of focus. Several of the leaves have drops of rainwater on them, and several sets of bright red berries are scattered throughout the frame, with one set in the foreground. The berries are bright red with a small black stem that looks like a dot, and their skin has a reflective but matte finish. More leaves and a house are visible but blurry in the background on the left, and a white overcast sky is visible in the top-right corner.

Prompt: A New Year

For us, a new year means putting away all the Christmas decorations a few days in. But even though the Christmas tree ornaments are all packed away now, the berries on our tree out front are so bright and shiny (and kind of matte too!) that it seems like nature is still in the Christmas spirit! (All we would need is some snow on the leaves instead of raindrops...)

    That's so pretty... the red and the green. :) Snow would have been cool, but rain adds a nice touch as well! Happy New Year!
