#2021picoftheweek – Très Chic

A large magenta rose takes up virtually all of the frame, which has a vertical orientation. The rose is lighter and darker in bands because of light coming in through the shades. The vase, brown stems, and white table are visible but blurred in the bottom sixth or so of the photo.

Prompt: Très Chic

There are some beautiful big magenta roses growing in a vase on our dining table, and I figured I'd take a close-up of one (similar to what I did for last week's photo). I tried it where the rose was all you could see in the frame, but I like it better with the blurred vase and stems at the bottom—the rose is still getting plenty of attention as is!
